Named after one of Hollywood’s Twenties starlets, the vintage inspired Betty Blythe tea room offers baked delights, afternoon teas and bespoke events.

Situated in the middle of nowhere in a residential part of Hammersmith, you’re unlikely to stumble upon Blythe’s but the tea room cleverly offers a range of baking and cake decorating workshops and doubles up as a popular venue for hen parties and kids tea parties complete with retro dress up box.

The food on offer -  think scotch eggs, shortbread cookies, gingerbread biscuits, cakes and pastries – make Blythe’s a great place to stop be buy, it for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea, and with its white table linens and vintage crockery there really is the feel of a vintage tea room about.

Blythe’s Afternoon Tea is definitely worth a try: classic sandwiches, cakes and biscuits with tea or coffee at only £22 a head is great value and you can even bring your own alcohol if you fancy having some fizz or gin and tonic with it.

It’s perhaps just a tad too yummy mummy to be really, truly cool.
